The owners behind Grange Community Kitchen are working on opening a new restaurant in the heart of Ellicottville.
Brad Rowell and Caryn Dujanovich-Rowell will work with longtime friend and Grange sous chef Anthony Petrilli to open a place at 23 Washington St.
The space has been undergoing extensive renovations, and will be designed by Dujanovich-Rowell, who also designed Grange.
Petrilli will be a partner, in charge of running the kitchen in Ellicottville. “We’re going to work together, and Anthony will be in charge of the kitchen there,” Rowell said.
The as-yet-unnamed restaurant’s food will be focused on seasonally inspired small plates, he said. “I think you can expect the same quality, style, and locally sourced ingredients, with new menu items.”

The restaurant will try to get more seasonal local ingredients into the Ellicottville mix, he said. A full liquor license is expected.
It’ll have about 85 seats, and a second-floor space that will be available for events. There's also a second-story patio in the rear of the building, with a view of HoliMont ski slopes. The patio will probably be open during the winter for cocktails and apres-ski snacks, like fondue.
Presently the plan is for dinner Thursday through Sunday and weekend brunch, Rowell said. He hopes to open in early fall.
