A Derry Township apartment building in the 400 block of Hockersville Road was briefly evacuated Saturday after a kitchen fire in one of the units.
But Hershey Fire Company spokesman Dave Sassaman said fire crews were able to limit the damage to the oven and some surrounding cabinetry, and by the end of the 6:08 p.m. call the tenants in that unit and all of their neighbors were able to return home.
There were no injuries to residents or firefighters.
Sassaman estimated damages from the blaze at about $5,000.
