Air Force One's Kitchen Can “Feed 100 People At A Time,” According To The White House - Delish.com

In an exclusive interview with ABC News on Wednesday, President Trump unveiled sketches of Air Force One's upcoming redesign. First announced in 2018 and scheduled to arrive in 2024, the new color scheme would change the plane's exterior from white and blue to red, white, and blue, a look he has called more patriotic.

And while the interview has people talking about what the outside will look like (some have drawn comparisons to Trump's private plane), we're curious about what's inside. The President stayed mum in his ABC interview, saying only, "we added things" when asked about other updates. The White House itself, though, has shared what's already inside, and it's pretty far from the commercial airlines you or I fly.

As a refresher, Air Force One refers to the specific planes that transport the President of the United States. Today, it usually means one of two "highly customized Boeing 747-200B series aircraft." The three-story planes have a total of 4,000 square feet of floor space, a medical suite, offices for senior staff, and two food prep galleys that can make food for up to 100 people at a time. Wild!

There's also a presidential suite with its own bathroom, office, and conference room, and quarters for guests traveling with the president, including Secret Service officers. The more you know.

In the meantime, President Trump is still working on approval for the new changes he would like to make. Shortly after he shared the blueprints for the new plane exteriors, the House Armed Services Committee voted to restrict spending on the renovation, per ABC. He will be able to make adjustment to the proposal.
